KARACHI:
There are several imaginative initiatives which attain considerably across the globe along with immediate persons directly into motion. Unbeknownst for you to BDU brain AIG Shafqat Malik, This Injure Locker furthermore resonated along with Sulaiman.

Sulaiman had been a good Msc university student in the Company regarding Physics along with Consumer electronics, School regarding Peshawar as soon as they determined to build a explosive device defusing robotic. “I received the concept in the film. The matter within K-P had been the final straw, persons succumbing even though seeking to defuse bombs along with save lives, ” they informed This Convey Tribune in the cell phone.

The item took Sulaiman 3 months along with charge them Rs82, 000 which he had for you to piece together to perform his or her operate. “I appeared up the robotic on the web, but, interestingly, I really could definitely not come across a good readily available prototype. ”

Because venture had been self-funded, Sulaiman manufactured budget friendly, cheapest product. The many parts ended up bought in your community via Peshawar. The item did not arrive effortless, “there ended up lots of starts along with halts, that required plenty of physical knowledge. ” However in the end, that proved helpful. Sulaiman’s robotic will never be tried out along with stay ammo but it's been suffering from check works by simply them.

Go walking your line

This robotic can have up to twenty one kilogrammes possesses added wheels which operate like a conveyor belt, making it perfect for a tough surfaces, “the movement putting your unit together is a lot like a car’s”. It really is battery handled possesses 1 provide, but another can certainly possibly be additional. “The hands has a 5 directional movements, and also the rotating cuff can transfer 360 diplomas. ”

Sulaiman admits even though his or her robot’s existing abilities do not allow that for you to open up a stress heater explosive device to succeed in it is circuitry; it could possibly quickly elevate along with erase it to your more secure location.

It could possibly defuse detonators, gain access to your wires and also the battery connections used by your bomb’s ignition, distributed your head.

This robotic furthermore supplies stay visuals. Its photographic camera transfers by way of ocean suitable for personal computers along with television models.

Losing sight of your storage area manufacturing facility

Immediately after Sulaiman’s explosive device defusing robotic had been displayed at a venture along with poster present within March 2013, they received a few awareness via nearby authorities. “An SSP greeted everyone the very next day, featuring to assist carry your venture with an commercial level. ”

However almost nothing exercised, “I named more than once to discover your robotic that the govt had given these people, which 285 engineers stated in The japanese. But it had been often a miss. ”

“My department planner Mohammad Kamran along with I kept imagining we might proceed satisfy the law enforcement to consider that forward but then your beginning govt got within along with almost nothing occurred. ”

Sulaiman gives, Kamran had posted a few proposals to consider your robotic on the commercial levels, even one to the higher Education Percentage. “With Rs1 thousand, I will transform, excellent along with check the product. I’ve simply scavenged in your community for parts; with increased cash, I makes it additional exact, put receptors, ensure it is additional delicate. ”

“The simply teaching your BDU will need to command your robotic is precisely how to employ a joystick. ” Today Sulaiman performs for a organization named Technological know-how Inbound links, which supplies methodical along with complex assistance to nursing homes along with educative institutes, but his or her love for innovating has not obtained a backseat.

He's arranging a second explosive device defusing robotic prototype, improving upon his or her initial. With vast cerebrovascular events they defined the modern robotic develop a good Arduino platform with a stepper or perhaps servo motor to scale back torque along with raise accurate from the movement. When just about all is going as outlined by approach, your robotic will even employ a better range of connection from 1, 500 metres and can get night vision.

With no scholarhip or perhaps exterior guidance, Sulaiman will certainly go Karachi to discover the correct parts –“I’m doing the work for my own practical knowledge, I’d possibly be hugely satisfied basically can promote each of our protection line – i always am striving. ” With not a track regarding cynicism, they mentioned they has not been wanting almost any awards or perhaps provides regarding assistance to carry his or her venture more.

Zameen.com

Zameen.com: Frenchman targets Pakistan for investment

KARACHI:  Despite the negative news surrounding Pakistan, the country remains on the investors’ radar, at least in some areas of the economy.
Gilles Blanchard, a French real estate portal expert, is one such example.
Bullish on the country’s online real estate market, the French investor placed his bet on the Pakistani real estate portal zameen.com, joining as its chairman in 2012. Founded by two brothers, Zeeshan Ali Khan and Imran Ali Khan, zameen.com is Pakistan’s first dedicated real estate portal.
The French investor has been frequently visiting the company’s headquarter in Lahore. In his latest trip, fifth to the country, he also visited zameen’s offices in Karachi and Islamabad.
An authority in the property portal world, Blanchard is the founder of SeLoger.com, France’s largest online web portal. He left three years ago after serving the company’s Merger and Acquisition Department for over a decade.
In his visit to Karachi earlier this month, the French expert of online property sales told The Express Tribune what got him interested in the Pakistani real estate and the opportunities it offers.
“More than 30% of Google searches in Pakistan are done through mobile phones,” Blanchard said quoting Google Pakistan. Pointing towards his cell phone, he said, “What’s the penetration for this!”
His statement came in response to the question whether he considered Pakistan’s low internet penetration – about 10% or 3 million broadband connections – before investing in the country’s online real estate market.
“If Pakistan’s internet penetration was 80%, what would be the point of coming here,” he asked. This indicates that the market has a lot of room for growth, he said. “You have got 10 million Facebook users and that’s without 3G, which is a positive sign.”
With a population of 200 million people and a large diaspora worldwide, according to Blanchard, the country offers great opportunities for investors especially when everybody has a real estate concern.
What makes Blanchard’s story even more interesting is the fact that he received a straight ‘no’ from SeLoger.com’s German parent when he first tried to convince the latter to acquire zameen.com.
While working with SeLoger.com, Blanchard was looking for business opportunities in emerging markets. He looked at Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia to get a flavour of emerging markets – he also looked at China and India but thought they were too big for him.
When he compiled data, such as population growth and internet penetration, for the emerging markets, one of the countries that popped up high was Pakistan, Blanchard said.

NOKIA Pakistan

Nokia planning to double ad spending in Pakistan

Nokia launched two six-inch smartphones namely Nokia Lumia 1520 and Nokia Lumia 1320 here on Tuesday

KARACHI:  In an attempt to grab a pie of the country’s growing smartphone market, mobile phone makers have been investing heavily in advertising their brands. The latest example is Nokia, which plans to more than double its ad spend for the local market.
Optimistic about the growth of phablets – a mobile device that combines the functions of a mobile phone and a tablet – in the country, the Finish mobile phone maker formally launched two six-inch smartphones namely Nokia Lumia 1520 and Nokia Lumia 1320 here on Tuesday.
“The phablet category already exists in this market, these devices are an add-on to the existing consumer needs,” Nokia’s Marketing Manager Smart Devices for Middle East North Africa (MENA) region Prihan Farrag told The Express Tribune on the sidelines of the launch ceremony.
The latest addition to Nokia Lumia range comes at a time when the country is close to holding the spectrum auction for high-speed mobile internet services. The spectrum auction, experts say, will provide a big boost to the penetration of smart devices – that currently stands at around 15% of the total market.
As opposed to the trend whereby some brands have got their products endorsed by local and international celebrities, Nokia chose to give its marketing campaign a local touch by linking these products to a reality show called ‘Kuch Kar Dikha’.
This marketing campaign is built around travelling whereby Nokia took its selected Facebook fans to scenic locations of the country and documented their journey through ‘Lumia Lens’ – the campaign’s theme song will hit national channels in a day or two.
The company, which had been an undisputed leader in the feature phone category, seems to have shifted its focus heavily on smart devices – it has already increased its local marketing budget.
“We have seen a very strong consumer appeal coming from the Pakistani market and we are driving to more than double our ad spend for this market,” Farrag said without giving country-specific numbers.

MANSEHRA: The National Highway Authority (NHA) and district administration have finalised a plan to widen the Karakoram Highway (KKH) and Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road.
Under the plan, both the roads would be expanded from the existing 33 to 66 feet width to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic that mostly remains jammed because of the heavy traffic. The decision was taken at a meeting held here on Friday with Deputy Commissioner of Mansehra Zulfiqar Shah in the chair. Ladies first: Women-only van service launched in twin cities

RAWALPINDI:  A transport service intended to exclusively facilitate women was launched in the twin cities on Monday.
Named “Tabeer”, the service is the brainchild of the Rawalpindi Transport Authority. The 12 vans allocated for the purpose will operate on two routes from Rawalpindi Saddar to Islamabad Secretariat between 7am and 7pm.
“The sole aim for launching the service was to save women from the daily hassle of travelling in overcrowded public transport,” said District Coordination Officer Sajid Zafar.
The launch ceremony was inaugurated by Punjab Labour and Human Resource Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, with Member National Assembly Malik Abrar and officials of the district government and the cellular services provider that sponsored the service in attendance.
Expressing appreciation for the initiative, Sarwar promised the addition of more vans to the existing fleet for greater facilitation. Moreover, the van service will also start operating on other routes, he said.
The project is part of the provincial government’s vision to improve the transport network, shared Sarwar. Referring to the multi-billion rupee metro bus project, he said that an 8.5-kilometre-long elevated bridge to Faizabad will be constructed due to unavailability of space in the city.
“When the project was launched in Lahore, it was severely criticised. But after its completion, even the naysayers appreciated it and now feel comfortable travelling in it,” said Sarwar. The van service exclusive to women will continue on other routes after the metro bus project is completed.
The project has been launched in collaboration with the cellular company Zong and a private firm, Al-Abrar Associates.

Hazards of living near Nuclear Plant

Nuclear safety: Radiation leak from K-2, K-3 nuclear plants a far cry, explain experts

KARACHI: The Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (Kanupp) is running for over 40 years but it has never emitted any radiation. So the residents need not worry about hazardous radiations from the under-construction 2200-megawatt plants, K-2 and K-3.
To address concerns about the China-made nuclear reactors for K-2 and K-3, the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) held a media workshop on Nuclear Power on Saturday and afterwards arranged a visit for the participants to the construction site and Kanupp plant near Paradise Point beach.

Talking about the evacuation of Karachi in case of a nuclear disaster, PAEC chairperson Dr Ansar Pervaiz called them fabricated stories.
He said the PAEC is expanding its activities and installing large nuclear power plants to meet the energy requirements of the country. “This plant is cheap, reliable and can remain unaffected in every season,” he said, highlighting the success of the running 137-megawatt Kanupp. He also cited the examples of the PAEC nuclear power plants at Chashma, C-1 and C-2, financed by China, which are running since 2000 and 2011 respectively.

Development in Pakistan

Welcome to this Blog. This is all about recent Development occurs in my beloved Country PAKISTAN to spread Positivity for my my country.

ISLAMABAD:  In a strategic move, Pakistan and China are set to make headway towards developing a master plan for Gwadar Port as part of an economic corridor that envisages investment of $12 billion by Beijing.
Officials of the two countries will take up the matter during talks in Beijing on February 17, where Pakistan’s team will be led by Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, officials say.
As part of the economic corridor that will turn Pakistan into a hub of regional cooperation, Gwadar Port will be connected through road, rail and fibre links to China to help enhance trade between the two countries.
Oil and gas pipelines are also part of the economic corridor over the long run, which is expected to provide a much-needed boost to economic activities in insurgency-hit Balochistan, according to the officials.
Under the short-term plan, Islamabad and Beijing want to develop Gwadar Port, whose control had already been given to China, in a bid to attract investment in different sectors to make it a hub of economic activities. Under this plan, an oil city will be set up at the port to meet fuel needs.
However, the United States and India are not pleased with the handing over of Gwadar Port to China, which will enhance its presence in the sea.
